IS0 9001 : 2000 CERTIFIED VERREAULT NAVIGATION inc., LES CHANTIERS VERREAULT inc. and LES ATELIERS MARITIMES VERREAULT inc. are happy to announce their recently acquired certification under IS0 9001 : 2000. Through the endeavours of the three companies and their various employees, and under the supervision of Quality Control Director, Michel Gratton, the companies now boast the International Organization for Standardization 9001 : 2000 certificate. This upgrade in ISO status reflects the successful adaptation to meet ISO's various standards and quality management requirements. The principal changes associated with the certification include not only observing the quality standards set by ISO, but also an increased emphasis on the continuous improvement of the various companies and the quality of work they produce. This certification comes as yet another example of how Groupe Maritime Verreault inc. and it's production companies are continually enhancing the level of service and satisfaction which they provide to their valued clientele.
AQVIQ DEPARTS, MARTHA L. BLACK ARRIVES All maintenance and repairs on the FAROCAN inc. fishing vessel Aqviq have been succesfully completed. The vessel exited the dry dock early in the a.m. of Friday, August 29th and departed Les Méchins for Mulgrave, Nova Scotia the following afternoon. Following the departure of the Aqviq, the dry dock is once again occupied with the arrivial of the CANADIAN COAST GUARD light icebreaker and navaids tender, Martha L. Black on Saturday, August 30th. The vessel is expected to be in dry dock for approximately 4 weeks worth of regular service and maintenance, including steel work, sandblasting and re-painting of the hull. Other work scopes include hydrostatic testing and painting in several tanks as well as various mechanical repairs.
