VERREAULT NAVIGATION ADOPTS KAIZEN PHILOSOPHY

GROUPE MARATIME VERREAULT inc. and VERREAULT NAVIGATION inc. are pleased to announce the completion of an intensive, ten day long Kaizen under the direction of TOPTECH, one of Canada's leading firms in the implementation of Japanese inspired lean manufacturing programs.

Kaizen is a Japanese derived philosophy defined as continuous (kai) improvement (zen). Kaizen has been adopted by VERREAULT NAVIGATION as a new means of operation in order to improve upon its day to day organization and production procedures.

Throughout this highly productive ten day session, the eight members of the VERREAULT Kaizen Team were encouraged to analyze their working habits and their working environment in an effort to identify and eliminate potentially wasteful or unproductive practices. They were then challenged to seek out new and refined solutions to productivity obstacles.

The completion of this, the first of several Kaizen sessions intended for the various companies of GROUPE MARATIME VERREAULT represents not only the introduction of an exciting new discipline to the VERREAULT working philosophy, but also a significant step forward in the continued improvement and development of a team dedicated to the satisfaction of its clients and the repair and maintenance of their vessels.
